Millennium trilogy

4 sleepless nights - that is what the millennium trilogy gave me. Couldn't keep the book down till it was over and even after it was completely over, the impact lasted in me for a day or two.

The trilogy is the life of Lisbeth Salander. The first and the second books were two different incidents. In the first book Lisbeth came as a helping hand to the journalist Blomkvist and the second book was completely about Lisbeth. The 3rd was the continuation of the 2nd.

The girl with the dragon tattoo made me one of the greatest fans of Steig Larsson. The book made my heart beat faster, sweat, frightened and satisfied in the end. The impact this book created made to start the 2nd one immediately.
The girl who played with the fire- Better than the first. Expectation completely satisfied.
The girl who kicked the Hornet's nest - well I must say though it was good and interesting enough I felt it made me skip pages few times because of too much description about too many characters.

That one character I loved apart from the protagonist was Advokat Giannini especially for she did in the end.   I also loved the = No compromise - No compromise - OK a little compromise part a lot too - typical Liz. And that one character I totally hated would be Berger - why did she even exist in the first place? and that idiotic so called doctor - how could you?
And there were certain characters who were not winded up properly like for example George Bland. Mrs.Fobes etc. And also the need for explaining about Amazon? And why/how come Lisbeth started forgetting things was anything wrong with her after the accident (solution to the Fermat's theorem) etc etc

Overall the plot was amazing and the twists were completely unexpected. It is the trilogy worth the time spent on it. And many characters did make me feel satisfied by dying.

Score: 4.1/5

  1. I got to watch the movie 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' (Daniel Craig starrer) before I heard of the novel series.U should watch it for sure.. The way the character of 'Lisabeth Salander' was portrayed in the movie seems to be a bit bizarre..still u'll feel the softness and the love...of that girl.. :) :)
