The Unexpected Guest
is a novelization by Charles Osborne of the 1958 play of the same name
by crime fiction writer Agatha Christie and was first published in the
UK by HarperCollins on September 6 1999 and on October 1, 1999 in the US
by St Martin’s Press.
The novel stats with the theme – Everyone has the urge to live
peacefully BUT who is ready to do anything for it. It is about how much you are ready to give up/ work on in your life to get to your dreams and needs. But ends with the
note – you get what you give.
Revenge expressed in a twisted, mysterious way…. And yes revenge IS sweet and revenge happens even if it had to wait forever because pain lasts in heart forever.
By the time we reach the end of the novel all we feel is “ok come on tell me now who the killer is?” A simple small interesting story which makes you skim through the pages in real speed. Give it a try.
Score: 4/5
