The first meeting was something worth remembering. It was a Wednesday and she was in her training class room having fun when someone suddenly came in and called her out. And there HE was standing. A formal introduction was given and she was informed that HE will be her dance partner. She just inquired his name and if HE had prior experience in dancing. Though this meeting was insignificant the after effects were tooo much. The second she entered her training room, she was surrounded by her friends ready to pull her leg. The guy from Trichy was the first to start followed by the tallest one.
There was no contacts between both the next day except that there was a mail saying the prelims would be conducted the following week. She had no idea regarding his whereabouts and didn't know how to contact him. But then she just tried the office address book and sent him a mail that Friday hoping HE would see it.
Monday morning it was indeed a great surprise. There was a reply from him and that is how these people started talking. Thanks to Dr.Martin Cooper, without his invention they both would have never become close. HE was a little different to her than to every other gal right from the beginning. She realized it but never understood why. HE was always surrounded by gals, well that is him. HE spoke, teased every single person. But with her HE never spoke directly nor HE teased her. It is just a word or two exchanged every time. But then when the mobile speaks they both know each other inside out. They were never like friends, always much more.
Her friends compared her with him and teased them really bad. She loved it but still hated it because she knew very well that it was impossible. Why should such a sweet guy even like her? That was her thought. That was when HE first said 'luvya'. It was just his way of expressing his affection to his friends but to her it felt really special. She is a very romantic gal and has so many principles/rules. To her to say 'I love you' meant its real meaning and according to her it is something she would/could tell only to her guy. After so many times of him repeating it casually she reciprocated one day. Her brain knew the truth but her heart never accepted and that was the day she fell for him.
Days flew by prelims was done and so was the finals. They performed decently well and even won. HE was praised a lot because HE stole the show single-handed. HE was there to wipe her tears, HE was there to listen to her talks (silly stupid ones they were because no matter how much she spoke she was always dumbstruck in front of him), HE was there in her every action and breadth. She wanted to be the most important person in his life. She wanted him to be hers forever. She didn't know if its love, she didn't care how people named it or called it. She was head over heels on him.
And then the issues started. She felt invisible when HE was surrounded by his friends. She knew HE was different to him but she couldn't understand if HE was just different with her or indifferent towards her. She kept asking him but never got a reply. All HE said was that HE felt shy to talk to her. She even asked him one day if he'd tell her 'I love you'
instead of his usual 'luvya' and all she got was a yeah I'll say'' with a
smiley as a reply. She wrote her first poem for him and shared it but HE never responded for the same. She was confused of his behavior, afraid to lose him or to simply put too possessive to share his sweetness with anyone else.
Their place of stay were in exactly opposite directions yet she made it a point to travel in his common bus till his place and return back home. She loved his presence near her and longed for it every minute. She saved every picture and every text of his. She had the collection of all their FB chats documented. She cherished every little thing about him. As days kept rolling, HE was shifted to a different office.
It was the day before her birthday and she wanted to see him very badly. She waited for him for around 4 hours and then HE came, said a 'Hi', gave her a chocolate and left because his friends were waiting for him. She was hurt very badly and she washed the pain with tears all night. The next day (on her birthday) she was wearing a saree and the whole world praised her. She uploaded her pics in FB and asked him to see but HE never reacted as much as she expected.
She used to chat hours and hours together with him. Used to tell him story after story. There was nothing HE didn't know about her in this world but all HE spoke back was 'hmmm' , 'ok', 'solu' and nothing else. She never knew anything about him because HE was never ready to open up to her. As days moved on she kept asking him to open up and trust her but in never happened.
She then decided to move away from him as she felt distance may make him to miss her and realize her worth. But HE just let her go and never bothered to come for her. Her close friend also moved away from her to him. His charm worked with everyone. She couldn't digest the fact. She missed him but she missed her friend a lot more.
Her expectations hurt her really bad. She started talking to him again. They even went out together for her treat. But then whenever she asked him why HE is like that to her, all HE would reply was 'am just me' and this made her heart really heavy. HE blamed work pressure and office tension for every action of his but she felt 'id someone really likes someone else such things will never matter'. Her questions increased and his silence persisted and one not so fine day she lost her cool. She couldn't shut up as usual and think 'Yeah HE'll change things will be fine soon'. She asked him "Do I mean anything at all to you?" and there came the reply "x, y and z (his best friends) mean a lot to me. You never meant anything to me". And that was the day her heart oozed blood.
She came to know every pain and hurt she faced all these days for him/ from him with the thought that HE is just showing his work tension/pressure on her and situation will change, HE'll be back like before - was lost. Everything between them was a lie. She lost every ounce of trust she had on guys. She deleted everysingle reminder of him. She moved completely away from him.
phew... feeling like going through an entire movie...!! :) :) u shud've named the characters... :( :(
ReplyDeleteUsually I never name the characters coz it'll make it easier for ppl to relate with real life ppl. But next time I'll :)
DeleteThough this story is so emotional, I dont see this as a practical or matured one. You can feel impressed by a guys and even feel so comfortable when he is next to you. Same time you should try to understand what's there in his mind regarding you. Before knowing this dont assume things by yourself. Because the guys may not accept the way it is and same time he dont want to leave your good friendship. Pls understand that even guys have their own emotions. So dont blame them unnecessarily...
ReplyDeleteI accept ur words.. Continue with part 2 for the reply
Deleteunderstood guys have own emotions... but those emotions should come infront of them when a girl s near u and when u proved that u are the only thing for that girl.... showing everything with ur knowledge to that particular girl and now pin pointing that guys have own things is not fair...... guys should be guys... not like girls .. when time come leaving and moving away is not a solution..... face it and do ur best.... then everything will be good in the future....
ReplyDeleteright... But ethukku intha comment nae enakku purila.. sry
